Affiliate Disclosure: How This Site Is Paid

Some of the outbound links on this site are commercial. When a reader opens an account or buys a product through one of them, this site may be paid a commission by the provider. It costs the reader nothing.

Which links

Links to bookmakers, and links to some financial and comparison services. Any page carrying them shows a disclosure at the foot of that page as well as here, so you are told on the page you are reading rather than only in a policy you would have to go looking for.

What it does not affect

The order of any table, the wording of any assessment, and whether a provider is included at all. Several pages here say plainly that a product is poor value, that a brand no longer exists, or that the reader should not sign up: including on pages that carry commercial links elsewhere.

The three calculators carry no commercial links of any kind. Neither do the pages about fraud prevention, or the pages explaining that a service has closed.

Where a commission is not available

Some providers are listed with no commercial arrangement, because leaving them out would make a comparison misleading. A page that only listed the operators who pay would be advertising rather than a comparison, and would be the less useful page.

Gambling links specifically

The betting pages are for over-18s only. Betting involves risk, and the techniques described reduce variance without removing it. No promotional amounts or offer terms are published here, because a static page cannot keep them accurate and a stale gambling promotion is worse than none.
